an Oldie But a Goodie: The Towne Purse

 One of our favorite places to shop for fabric and notions is Crafts Bits & Pieces, a non-profit in Fairport NY which accepts donations from artisans, artists, and crafters like myself then resells them to benefit the local community of seniors. Bargains galore!! Including patterns for all kinds of items, but we're always on the lookout of tote bags.

And. . . tada, we recently found The Towne Purse, an oldie but a goodie that goes back to the early 2000s when we were first getting into this world of crafting and selling. This is a great pattern, it uses 2 fat quarters but any number of coordinating scraps will also work. It features one outside pocket and as many as 6-8 pockets on the inside. The straps are generous as well. Here's a few we recently made and sold. . .

 As we morph our business opportunities, saying good bye to past entities and embracing new, interesting ones, we now have our product at several bricks and mortar locations in the Western New York Region.

Hearts Gifts is an enchanting gift shop in West Seneca NY. We've been there since March 1st and we love the welcoming, friendly atmosphere.

Two Flippin' Friends is a consignment shoppe which doubles as an estate sale entity in Hilton NY. Opened a tad over a year ago by two friends who also happen to be artists, they celebrate creations by local artists as well as authors. 

The Carriage Place is located near Brockport NY on Sweden Walker Road and it is amazing!! This is a well established vendor co-op, run by vendors, operated with vendors--and customers who appreciate hand-made items from quilts to toys to furniture to tote bags.
